In 2010 (and even up until now), the Maggie Sottero Adorae practically took over the bridal gown world as brides left and right were snapping up this dress. It was only a matter of time before another design came out with their own version. From what I can find, DaVinci Bridal is the first. Enjoy!
Maggie Sottero Adorae = ~$1300
DaVinci 50024 = ~$575

Wedding - Ukpe & Dimeji, Part I
The evermore popular purple was part of the color scheme of Ukpe and Dimeji's wedding. The bride wore one of my favorite types of veils that always seem to frame the face so nicely. Part II is coming up!

Look for Less - Pronovias/BariJay
I think that I'll do 2 Look for Less posts this month since everyone has missed on me posting.
This is dress that I definitely looked at for myself but figured it just didn't go with vibe of my venue so I never even bothered to try it on. But I'm sure I may be revisiting it for a vow renewal, maybe?
Pronovias Galante ~$1500
BariJay 69934 ~$400

Aso-ebi Outfit of the Week
Those of you may remember this beautiful woman from Essence's wedding feature, Bridal Bliss a couple years ago. This was one of the many outfits she wore during her reception. I think the dress is gorgeous and will definitely need to add this style to my arsenal. Enjoy!

Wedding Video: Liza and Basil
Who here watches Say Yes to the Dress? Me, Me, Me!!!
Well, some months back there was a Nigerian girl on the show that was looking for a second wedding dress for her at home reception. She actually had a custom made Pnina Tornai gown for her first wedding in Nigeria. The custom made gown came to a whopping $17,000. Definitely more than some girls' wedding budgets but all I can say is that I guess she is very lucky to have parent's who are able to foot the bill.
Below is the video of the traditional and white wedding. It's a little longer than the average (a little over 12 min) but I enjoyed watching it and really liked the way that gele was tied for her sister (at 2:25m). Will have to see if my sister in law to be can do that for me. Enjoy!!!
