The Man I Will Marry - NaijaKing

Now that I've wrapped up my Toasters series, I can talk more about what's in the present as opposed to the past.

Although I've mentioned it very few times here on my blog, I have a man in my life who I can truly say is God sent.

I met NaijaKing a couple of years ago at an event that was held at my church. Although, we greeted each other at this event, that was basically the extent of our conversation. As time went on, we continuously had casual conversation whenever he would attend services at my church as he went to another church. About a year after our initial meeting, he actually managed to ask me for my phone number and the rest, as they say, is history...

One night we went to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Copeland's, and actually decided to try his favorite dish there, which happens to be a sweet and spicy Asian dish. After we walked back to the car, he opened the passenger door for me and proceeded to hand me a box which I would soon find out was the box that held my ring. He got on one knee and asked me to marry him with some utterly beautiful words that escape me at this moment because I was in such awe of the ring. Of course, I said yes!

So there we have it.....KNaijaQueen is getting married!!!

Although I do plan to talk about the wedding planning some here on the blog, I can't give away ALL the details because at the end of it, I will have a HUGE giveaway on the blog for those that can actually figure out all the details of the wedding.

But for now, I have some eye candy in the form of my engagement ring. Can you guess what kind of stone the center is?

If so, there's a $10 gift card to Copeland's restaurant for the winner.

*Please excuse my picture-taking skills. The pictures that I took aren't even close to doing justice to how it looks in real life.*

GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED!!!

Rules:

1. Must be a resident of United States
2.You may only enter once.
3. All responses must be entered by September 3, 2010.
4. From the correct responses, a person will be chosen at random.

So, can YOU guess what it is?

Wedding - Tinu and Olumide - Part II

One thing I don't see too often in African weddings is the color of blue being used as a primary color when choosing "wedding colors". Usually, the most popular colors are burgundy/maroon and gold (although, I've seen many African weddings use purple this year).

This couple used blue in a tremendous way in this wedding and congrats to them and their marriage.

Enjoy!!!

Photographer Excerpt: Wedding of Tinu & Olumide was actually a day before my birthday July 25th. when i met with Tinu for consultation, i was shocked when she told me the date. WHY?, well i had planned for a family time out to celebrate for the whole weekend. but i had a change of mind when she told me specifically that she made up her mind long time ago that i was going to be her wedding photographer and she did not even bother to look anywhere else. honestly it took me by suprise, and i accepted it as a great honor. So i cleared my calender and secured the date for her.

Few weeks down the line, i met with the couple for their engagement photo session, indeed i was impressed by olumide’s broad knowledge of things, very intelligent guy. infact both of them are so cute together and it was a lovely session both indoor and outdoor.

Their wedding day was beautiful, One thing i noticed was that Tinu is very disciplined when it comes to attention to detail, which actually helped my work on that day. we started the day early ontime as planned, got to church ontime, and the reception was ontime too. i did enjoy my time throughout the wedding.

Look for Less - Enzoani/Anjolique

Alot of women forget sometimes that you can add accessories to your wedding gown to make it LOOK like your dream dress.

This is the case with the Look for Less today. Enzoani's Champagne dress is GORGEOUS and certainly out of some brides' budget at ~$1,800.

But most could certainly afford a more reasonable option with some simple accessorizing. With this dress at ~$1,000, just add a rhinestone belt or applique and WALA.......you have an almost exact replica.

Wedding - Allison and Obi

Photography Excerpt: Sometimes it’s hard to sum up an entire day in just a few images. Allison and Obi’s wedding was one of those days. We were amazed with the care and attention that went into this stellar wedding. We were also struck by all the amazing love vibes flowing around…. from the appreciation for friends and family, the melding together of two beautiful families, to the connection between the two of them. We were never short of great emotion to capture. Their wedding was in Columbus, OH and was filled with plenty of color and life and…….words just can’t express how amazing it was, so let us just show you….
