Wedding Video - Goke and Mercy

There are a few things that I enjoy about this video including the traditional wear that the bride and groom decide to wear.

The look on the groom's face when the bride is walking down the aisle is priceless. Enjoy!!!

Look For Less - Demetrios/Mori Lee

All of these dresses are pretty similar and I love how simple they look. The first 2 dresses are pretty similar in price, so I suppose the last dress would be considered the actual look for less.
Take a look!

San Patrick Binefar = ~$1250

Bonny 8900 = ~$1,200

Mori Lee 2215 = ~$700

Aso-Ebi Outfit of the Week

I like the girl's hair almost more than the dress.

The dress is simple just how I like it. What do you think?

Wedding - Tolu and Frank

I love the fact that the bride's engagement ring wasn't the normal solitaire ring. I love it when couples decide to add their own touches. Enjoy!!!

Wedding - Rena and Uche

This is one of the few weddings that I've come across that was in Canada, and definitely the first Nigerian-Jewish wedding that I've seen. It was interesting to see how they mixed both cultures.
Enjoy!!!

Photography by ShandroPhoto
Location: Calgary, Canada

Photography Excerpt:...Rena and Michael grew up together, and their families have been great friends for a long time. Rena’s parents Gail & Eli were guests at our wedding and we were honoured to be able to celebrate Rena’s wedding with them.

We first met Uche several months ago. We heard the story of how Rena and Uche first met – they went to high school together and Rena had a crush on Uche. At a high school basketball game, Rena was quietly admiring Uche’s rippling muscles as he dunked the ball. She yelled in front of everyone “Dunk it again, Uche!” (and he did!). They didn’t date during high school, they didn’t even really know each other. They reconnected two years ago, and have been together ever since.

Toasters - Stalker, Part II

As promised, I'm continuing the story of Stalker.....

When I opened the door, Stalker bumrushed past me into the living room of my apartment. VERY caught off guard, I immediately told him to GET OUT!!! Apparently, he was looking to see if anyone else was in the apartment. I don't know if that was because he was trying to figure out if I had another guy in the apartment, or if he wanted to make sure no one would be there to see what he potentially was going to do. Unfortunately for me, my roommate wasn't home and was not going to be able to help me out of this situation.

Although I kept yelling to GET OUT, my requests fell on deaf ears. He began pushing me and asking where the guy was that was with me. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to alert him to anything. Stalker had a backpack that was partially open. When he jutted forward to push me again, my eyes opened wide because I saw that he had a SAWED OFF RIFLE!!!

By the grace of God, he suddenly backed off and decided to leave but not without calling me every derogatory name in the book. I was so shocked and scared at what had just transpired, I couldn't even cry. The next day, after telling a good friend of mine, I decided that I had to move out of the apartment IMMEDIATELY. I figured I had a couple of weeks to be able to move out unnoticed, but he didn't want to let it go.

A few days later, I came home to find the word, BI*CH spray painted across my front door. A few more days after that, I woke up in the morning to find all 4 of the tires on my car SLASHED!! I knew then that I had to move ASAP. Since Stalker was a night owl, I intentionally moved in the MORNING to a nearby apartment complex.

I thank my God in heaven above that I never heard from him again....

Toasters - Stalker

I'm so sorry for posting my Toasters series late as I was suppose to provide it last Friday, but alas, life interceded so I'm giving it to you today. This Toaster is a little longer so, I'm going to make it a 2 part series.

Not quite sure if you've noticed from the previous guys that I've talked about, but I tend to give people chances. Maybe it's the fact that I see niceties in every person, maybe it was just me being young and dumb, but with Stalker, I should have NEVER done so.

I had just recently moved into a new apartment complex on the not so best side of town. Not the worst, but definitely could have been better. After being there a couple of weeks, I ran out of milk for some food that I was cooking and didn't have time to go to the store so I thought I would ask my neighbor if I could borrow a cup of milk. Here enters Stalker....

Stalker was NOTHING I would have ever considered dating at any point in time. He was short, he had a big head, didn't know how to speak correct grammar, but I gave him a chance anyways after numerous conversations. What can I say....he grew on me a little.

Anyways, we went on ONE date for dinner, in where I definitely decided he wasn't someone I wanted to see again romantically. He was just too gutta, for lack of a better word. Or maybe I was just too proper. I preceded to ignore his phone calls but apparently, he decided to make himself a little more known.

About a week after the ONE date, I was coming home very late from an outing with a group of friends. Instead of driving, I'd gotten a ride coming home and one of the guys decided to walk me to my door just as a precaution. Boy am I glad he did. As I walked up the stairs to my apartment, Stalker had been waiting at the pool for me ALL NIGHT, waiting for me to come home and was YELLING my name to make sure it was me. Of course, I didn't answer and the guy who'd walked me to the door asked me if he should stay just in case anything happened. I let him know that there were no problems and that he should go ahead and go home. I later found out that he waited an additional 15 minutes in the car just to make sure nothing happened.

5 minutes after I shut my door, I hear a knock at the door and, of course, it's Stalker. Stupidly, I opened the door, even though I was a bit nervous seeing as it was 4 am in the morning.

Tune in tomorrow to see what happened after I opened the door.

Look For Less: Enzoani/Maggie Sottero

Quite a few women would love to choose a lace dress as their bridal gown, but can't seem to fit something glamorous in their budget. Take a look at today's Look for Less option.

Enzoani Dakota = ~$2100

Maggie Sottero Phillipa - ~$1200

All you would have to do is add a crinoline underneath the Maggie Sottero version and you would have the same amount of poof that the Enzoani version has.

If you have a dress that you would be interested in seeing a Look for Less for, contact me.

So......I've Joined the Masses...

and got a Twitter account.

Wasn't so sure if I really wanted to, but my sister has convinced me otherwise. Follow me please!!!

Aso-Ebi Outfit of the Week

So what do you think?

It's not really my style actually. I don't really care for the big flower on the left side of the chest. And I just don't care for the accessories. But what do you think?

Wedding - Shola and Olumide

Photography by Tunji Sarumi Photography
Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Photography Excerpt: Aby and I shot Shola and Olumide’s wedding in Lagos Nigeria. The bride and the groom reside here in the States but they came to Lagos, Nigeria for their wedding. They are natives of the city with family members in the Lagos area.

They are the typical couple with whom I love to work. They are full of energy; spontaneous, a characteristic that I believe brought life to the event. The pictures below show that they enjoyed every moment of their wedding day.

Thanks again to Shola and Olumide for entrusting me to capture one of the most me memorable days of their lives.
