Olufemi (Abo) - Ife and Fola

I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Christmas!!! I, myself, thoroughly enjoyed my Christmas and birthday. I went to go see the latest film that everyone is talking about, Avatar, and thought it was a great movie and worth the money. There are a lot of hidden storylines in there if you look.

Anyways, I have a new traditional wedding for you today. Next week, I will be detailing the process of an Igbo traditional wedding (although the following is a Yoruba one). Stay tuned, enjoy, and leave a comment!!!

Photography Excerpt: Ife and Fola tied the knot last weekend in a Nigerian traditional engagement wedding. The wedding was filled with joy, happiness and love as they prepare for their white wedding the next day. Back in February 2009, I shot a beautiful couple session with the couple.

Wedding - Isowa and Francis, Part II

francisowa had their wedding ceremony at Jesus House DC back in november. and the reception at The Arbor Ballroom. it was such a pleasure capturing the emotion, love and details of the wedding.

francisowa are amazing and the love between them is strong and sweet! they were both very anxious and excited to see each other and ready to take their relationship to the next level of becoming one (hence francisowa...lol).

They happen to be one of my favorite couples to shoot, always fun, loving and willing to try new shoot ideas and yeah I shoot at lot in the middle of traffic. It is one of those weddings that you actually look forward to. The shots were done for their website as seen here. I really like the outdoor shots. On the day of the shoot the light was simply sweet and sweet light plus a hot couple makes a perfect shoot

I wonder how they ended up doing this shot in the middle of the street.

Something New: Look For Less

Due to the status of the economy, many couples have significantly reduced their wedding budgets or postponed the wedding altogether.

While not being able to have the wedding of your dreams (or later than expected) is disheartening, there are always ways around it.

Therefore, I've decided to start a series called "Look for Less". This series will be taking things that have been seen in weddings that I've showcased, things that I've heard/seen in the blogosphere, etc., and showing a less expensive way to be able to have the same thing for a more reasonable amount of money.

Today, we'll start this with a wedding dress that I came across.

Wedding - Jen and Kelechi

Those who know me know that I lived the first half of my life in Fort Worth, Texas. I haven't been back to Fort Worth in many years although I still have family there. I do often think that I will eventually move back.

Today's wedding was located in Dallas which is a much larger city than Fort Worth. It looks like the couple had an absolutely wonderful time. Enjoy!!!
